Vicki Lucille Waltenbaugh, 67, passed away on Sunday November 1st, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Waltenbaugh of Ohio and her brother, Dennis Waltenbaugh of Ohio. She is survived by her father, Walter Waltenbaugh, 98, of Uniontown, OH and his friend, Lois Hout; her only son, Brian Reed, his wife, Cari; and grandsons Brandon & Kameron Reed of Walkersville, MD. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Waltenbaugh and his wife, Patricia, of Clinton, WA as well as brother, Eric Waltenbaugh and his wife, Maureen, of Marble Falls, TX. She is also survived by nieces, Roxanne Averill, Heidi Hintze and Natalie Waltenbaugh; and nephews, Aaron and Jacob Waltenbaugh.  Vicki will also be remembered by former daughter-in-law, Karen Reed, of Frederick; and numerous friends who will miss her dearly.

She was born in Canton, OH on March 14, 1948 and was a 1966 graduate of Glenwood High School.  After marriage, she moved to the Montgomery County area in 1970 where she worked for the Food & Drug Administration as a Space Management Specialist for 30 years.  She moved to Walkersville in 1974 and later to Frederick.  Vicki retired in 2004 to help care for her newborn twin grandchildren.

She spent her retirement enjoying her grandchildren, gardening, water aerobics and quilting.  She also worked part time for Sisto’s Quilt Shop in Frederick for many years and she was an active member of Four Counties Quilt Guild.  She also enjoyed playing Bunko and Canasta regularly with her friends and was a member of Walkersville United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21st at Walkersville United Methodist Church, 22 Main St, Walkersville, MD.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  A luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the memorial service.
