Vernon Huntzberry, Jr.

Vernon Landon Huntzberry Jr., 85, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Carol Huntzberry for 65 years.

Born on November 13, 1935, in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of the lateVernon Landon and Gladys Susan (Green) Huntzberry.

Vernon was employed with Callas Contractors for 40 years.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Randy Huntzberry, Vicki Churchey and husband Don and Tammi Huntzberry; grandchildren, Justin Davis, Brittany Keith and husband Jason, Carly Bishop and husband Alan; great-grandchildren Hendrix and Lucy Bishop; siblings JoAnn Lawyer and husband Buddy, Bertha Olden and husband Don, Harry Huntzberry and wife Louise, Ronnie Huntzberry; brother-in-law Earl Coffman, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Huntzberry, Roger Huntzberry; sister, Thelma Coffman; sister-in-laws Judy Huntzberry and Sharon Huntzberry and niece Tara Huntzberry.

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, MD.

Services and interment will be private for family and close friends.
