Valentino S. Agostine

Mr. Valentino S. Agostine, 79, of Frederick, died on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at his residence. He was the partner of the late Laurens Larry Aumen who died in 2006.

Born on November 1, 1930, in Coupon, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent D. and Emma Ann Zandy Agostini. He was a supervisor with a scholastic book publisher. Val was very artistic, he enjoyed painting and was accomplished maker ceramics and porcelain dolls, operating a ceramic shop while living in Missouri. Val was currently a product demonstrator at the Costco in Frederick.

Surviving are 4 brothers and sisters: Olga B. Zavodni of Westminster, Gildo P Augustine and wife Dorothy of Baltimore, Agnes D. Powers and husband Thomas of Essex and Joyce J. Holcomb and husband Louis of Glen Burnie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters: Mary Marketti, Lena Lynch, Ted Augustini, Vincent Agostine and Elliot Agostine

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 14, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 15, at Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville with Rev. John Kenny officiating

Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Park, Frederick.
