Valentine “Bill” A. Kulczak of Monrovia, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home. Born on October 29, 1927 in Everson, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob F. and Frances (Zwolinski) Kulczak. Bill served two tours in the U.S. Navy. After his naval service, Bill went to work for Safeway Foods, Inc. where he worked his way up from Clerk to District Manager. He retired from Safeway after 33 years of service in 1986. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, and his four children, Susan and husband Charles, Rebecca, Christine and husband Kenneth, and Daniel and wife Sheree. In addition, he is survived by seven grandchildren, Michael, James, Rheanne, Natale, Daniel, Felicia and Jessica and his brother, Robert. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Country Church, 8817 Urbana Church Road, Frederick, MD 21704. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Community, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754.
