Valentine Kashlev

Valentin (Mikhailovich) Kashlev, 85, of Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born in Moscow, Russia, on January 29, 1929, to the late Anastasia and Mikhail Kashlev. Valentin graduated from high school in Moscow and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Moscow Mechanical Engineering School in 1954. He married the late Ludmila Statsenko in 1959. Valentin moved to the US from Russia in 2007 to join his son Mikhail. Valentin was a kind and beloved person with a great sense of humor and highly optimistic personality. He was always offering support to his relatives, friends and neighbors in Moscow and could frequently be found generously helping others in a broad variety of life circumstances. His close friends and relatives will always remember him for this outstanding part of his shiny soul. Valentin is survived by a son Mikhail Kashlev of Frederick, MD and a grandson Dmitry Kashlev of Mountain View, CA.
