Una Frazier Elmore, age 101, formerly of Greenfield, Illinois Died August 23, 2012, at Homewood Crumland Farms Retirement Center in Frederick, Maryland.
Una was born in White Hall, Illinois November 8, 1910, daughter of Truman LeRoy and Clara Ann Wells Smith. She married Floyd C. (Jack) Frazier September 8, 1934. He preceded her in death May 1, 1971. She married Howard L. Elmore April 12, 1974. He preceded her in death February 7, 1996.
A graduate of White Hall High School, Una enjoyed music, crocheting, sewing, reading, church and community activities, and books on tape. She was employed in many office staff and retail jobs through the years. Her favorite job was with the Greenfield Illinois School District as a driver transporting special education students to and from school.
She is survived by son James LeRoy Frazier and wife Ellen, Walkersville, Maryland. Step-son Howard N. Elmore and wife Judy, Greenville, Illinois. Step- daughter Nancy Elmore Witt, Crossville, Tennessee. Granddaughters; Marjorie Frazier Hegerich and husband James, great grandchildren Karen and Nicholas, Mt. Airy, Maryland. Lane Frazier Piper, and husband Scott, great granddaughter Arianna, Walkersville, Maryland. Step-grandsons; Michael Elmore and wife Kelly, great grandchildren Preston and wife Mollie, Erik and Evan, Lewis Run, Pennsylvania. Mark Elmore and wife Cristina, great grandchildren Grace and Connor, Carlsbad, California.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 31, at 2:00pm in Slayman Chapel, Homewood at Crumland Farm, Frederick, Maryland. Interment will be at White Hall Cemetery in White Hall, Illinois.
