SPC Tyler Brent Hammett, 21, of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Montgomery, AL.
Born on June 4, 1992 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son Kimberly Anne Walters and husband Bruce Walters of Smithsburg, MD.
Brent proudly served his country in the United States Army, recently being promoted to SPC. He was a graduate of Tuscarora High School. Brent also was a member of the drama club and show choir and enjoyed doing live theater. Brent was also an avid sportsman.
In addition to his mother and step-father he is survived by his father Michael Hammett of Frederick, ; brother Ridge Hammett, sister Brooke Radzik and brother Austin Walters; grandmother Joanna Radzik of Henrico, VA, his aunts Chontelle Stotler of Keymar, MD and Kelley Widdows of Henrico, VA.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM.
Interment will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 1PM at the Arlington National Cemetery.
