Mrs. Troy Louise Ambush Spriggs, 53, of Frederick, MD, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2016. She was the loving wife of Ernest Spriggs, Sr., her husband of 3 years
Born June 29, 1963, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Margaret Faustina Ambush of Adamstown and the late Leroy Linwood Ambush, Sr.
Troy was a dedicated person who loved her family. She was employed by the Frederick County Government, retired May, 2016, with 25 years of dedicated service. Troy loved life, enjoyed spending time with her mother, taking care of the elderly, and sharing the value of living a good life with her nieces and nephews.
Surviving in addition to her husband are eight sisters, Sylvia Walker (Larry), Belle Glade, FL, Iantha Weedon (Donald) Adamstown, MD, Sandra Ambush (Robert), Darlene Ambush, Tracey Dorsey (Rodney), June Gassaway, all of Frederick, MD, Fern Ambush Gaithersburg, MD, and Kimberly Ambush, Adamstown, MD; two brothers, Leroy Linwood Ambush, Jr., (Kim) and Alton Howard Ambush, Sr., (Jackie) of Frederick, MD, three aunts, June Hardy, Brunswick, MD, Caroline Bowie, and Dorothy Bowie, both of Frederick, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, two stepsons, Tyrone Spriggs and Ernest Spriggs, Jr., Frederick, MD, three sister-in-laws Velma Lawson (Royal), Adamstown, MD, Karen Willis, Monrovia, MD, and Cheryl Spriggs, Hyattsville, MD, a brother-in-law Kevin Spriggs (Rona), Gaithersburg, MD.
She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Jesse Edward Ambush and Jenevive Smith Ambush, Maternal Grandparents, Lewis Edward Crumble, Naomi Mae Hill, and Carroll Hill, and brother-in-law, Charles Gassaway, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 W Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701 where funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
