Mrs. Treva Irene Fogle-Speak, 81, formerly of Thurmont died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Glade Valley Center in Walkersville. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Speak, Sr.
Born February 22, 1931 in Woodsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Austin A. Fogle and Mary Beatrice Devilbiss.
Mrs. Speak worked at Clair Frock for 32 years. She was a volunteer at Northampton and Glade Valley Nursing Centers for many years. She was a longtime member of Weller United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her children, Sharon Louise Speak of Thurmont; John Thomas Speak Jr. and wife Teena of Emmitsburg; grandchild, John Thomas Speak III and wife Tara of Thurmont; Great-grandchild Nicole Speak; Brothers and sisters, John W. Fogle, Larry M. Fogle, Tex A. Fogle all of Woodsboro, Gene A. Fogle and Thomas F. Fogle of Frederick, Doreen Heffner of Doubs, Patsy Parks of Virginia, Linda L. Hines of Alaska, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Speak was preceded in death by brother Arthur E. Fogle and sisters Delores Eichelberger, and Betty Wolfe.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Sunday November 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Monday, November 12, at 11:00 am with Pastor Rich Groome officiating.
