Tony Edward Nicholson

 Tony Edward Nicholson of Detour, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Born on July 6, 1965, and son of the late Jo Ann (Frazier) and Franklin Delanor Nicholson.  

Tony was an ‘83 graduate of Lingaore High School. Tony worked as a truck driver for Noland Company for nearly 23 years. Throughout his life Tony enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, gardening/landscaping, coaching basketball, and camping. Tony was well known for his love of his three girls, the Commanders, Popeyes chicken, and dancing. Tony was a social butterfly who brought light to everyone’s lives.

Tony is survived by former wife Karen Nicholson and three children; Paula and husband, Nathan Carothers, Kasey and Fiancé Lance Boone, and Ashley Nicholson; one grandchild Korinne Boone and expecting the second granddaughter in July; beloved dogs Tebow and Leo; three brothers Timothy Nicholson, Robert Nicholson, Danny and wife, Jamie Nicholson.

In accordance with wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 2-5pm at Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church; 1011 Francis Scott Key Hwy, Keymar, MD 21757.
