Tina Louise Yommer, 67 moved on from this Earth on February 18, 2024, surrounded by family in the comfort of her home, after a battle with breast cancer. Tina was born on October 30, 1956. Because of the proximity to Halloween, she always joked that she was the “trick before the treat”. Born in Martinsburg WV, she was the daughter of late Neil and Jacqulyn Kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her brother Dwight.
Tina is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Steven Allen Yommer. Additionally, she is survived by her daughter Tabatha Rhoderick, her husband Art and their children- Waylen, Isaac, and Elizabeth; all of Clear Spring, MD; and her son Jesse Yommer, his wife Sedona, and their children- Gabriel, Addison, Emily, and Josh; of Hancock, MD. Also survived by her siblings Stevie Kitchen (Frederick, MD), Terry Kitchen (Boonsboro, MD), and Tammy Stewart and her husband Renny (Boonsboro, MD).
Tina never knew a stranger. New faces that she would meet on the street were treated like old friends. She was content with a simple life at home where she was surrounded by everyone and everything that brought her joy. Tina was most proud in life of her children and grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for wildlife and frequently watched all the critters that would visit her feeders, garden, and flowers.
The family will receive friends from 10 am- 12 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland. A graveside service will immediately follow at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, www.diabetes.org.
