Timothy P. Meyers, 50, of Alexandria, VA, passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2015 of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Tanja, and their three precious children; Julianna (14), Ryan (11), and Carly (7). Tim was the son of Lynn and Lucille Meyers; the brother of Jeffrey Meyers and wife Nancyra; the sister of, Deborah Meyers; and the uncle of Timothy Geoffrey Meyers and David Sage.
Born in Syracuse, NY on September 24, 1964.
He moved to Frederick county Maryland with his family in 1976. He graduated from Walkersville High School in 1983, where he was a star football player. He graduated from Frostburg University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. In 1995, he married the love of his life, Tanja Hackett. In 1998, he founded a very successful kitchen design business in Alexandria, VA. In 2001, he became a father for the first time. His legacy of being the greatest and most loving father began. He loved his children more than anything else in the world . . . Julianna Pauline, Ryan Patrick, and Carly Marie. He attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Springfield, VA with his family.
In addition to his immediate family, Tim is survived by his beloved Uncle John and Aunt Sandy and numerous cherished cousins; his mother-in-law, Monika Hardy; his father-in-law, Bill Hackett and wife Callae; his brother-in-law, Brann Hackett and wife Sharon; his sister-in law, Meghan Hackett; his nephew, Tyler Hackett; and his niece, Aibhlinn Hackett; and decades of best friends.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM. On Saturday, August 1, 2015, a mass will be held at 1 PM at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 8651 Maryland Ave, Walkersville, MD. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Tim’s life following the mass on Saturday. The celebration location will be announced at the viewing, as well as at the end of the mass, and on Facebook.
