Timothy W. Giffin, 52, of Hedgesville, WV, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
Born on March 2, 1958 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Roland W. and Eileen L. (Ingram) Giffin.
Tim was a federal employee working on the C & O Canal for the United States National Park Service.
He was a 1976 graduate of Boonsboro High School and also graduated from the Hagerstown Business College.
Tim was a member of the Samples Manor Church of God near Dargan and attended the Welty Church of the Brethren in Smithsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Diane L. (Bromley) Giffin; three brothers, Gregory L., Darrin W. and David A. Giffin, all of Dargan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his loyal friend and canine companion, Camry.
Services will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Md. Rev. Michael C. Manthos will officiate. Tim will be laid to rest at sunset at the Samples Manor Cemetery near Dargan. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing.
