Thomas "Wayne" Shifflett

Thomas "Wayne" Shifflett passed away on December 26, 2018, at his home after a long illness. Wayne was raised in Gaithersburg and later moved to Frederick in 2000.

He was a retired entertainer also known as Stonewall and he was a business owner. He spent many years bringing enjoyment to people with his music. He was AAA's tow truck driver of the year for two consecutive years.

Wayne was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Gaithersburg Chapter for 23 years. Wayne was a longtime fan of the Baltimore Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved auto racing and watching western movies.

He is survived by his wife Jan Shifflett of 44 years and 4 children, David and wife Kia of Jefferson, Kelly Shannon and husband Kenny of Gaithersburg, Rebecca Carlson and husband Justin of Walkersville, and Joshua and wife Denise of Walkersville; 13 Grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother James and wife Patty Shifflett of Frederick, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he thought of as his own children.

Wayne is proceeded in death by his parents, Ernest and Sarah Shifflett, and brother, Glen Shifflett.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. Family will welcome friends at 11 a.m. for the viewing and 12 p.m. for the service. There will be no graveside services.
