Thomas F. {Frank} McLister

Thomas F. {Frank} McLister, 75, of Frederick, MD, formerly of Potomac, MD devoted husband of Rita B. McLister for 50 years died at his home peacefully with loved ones on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 6:45 AM.

Frank was born April 23, 1931 In Washington, D.C. and was a Washingtonian his entire life. He was an active parishioner at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Rockville, MD and St. Timothy's Parish in Walkersville, MD.

He attended the Nativity grade school in Washington, D.C, St. John's High School in Washington, D.C and graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Business Administration. Thereafter he received his MBA from American University. Frank was an independent insurance broker and owned and operated McLister Insurance Agency in Montgomery County where he was President and received the Chartered Life Underwritten Designation.

He was a national salesman of the year for numerous insurance companies throughout his career.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953-1973 and retired after 20 years of service at the rank of Major.

He was an avid Redskin fan and enjoyed coaching youth sports.

He was a loving and devoted father and in addition to his loving wife Rita he is survived by seven children, Patrick F. McLister of Frederick, MD, Michael J. McLister and wife Jeanne of Leesburg, VA, Mary R. Bussard of North Potomac, MD, Thomas B. McLister and wife Margie of Middletown, MD, Kathleen M. Power and husband Michael of Chalfront, PA, John A. McLister and wife Melinda of Middletown, MD and Theresa A. McKinnon and husband William of Bethesda, MD, twenty five grandchildren, Joey, Tricia, Natalie, Kevin, Colleen, Veronica, Kelly, Paul, Caitlin, Matthew, Molly, Gracie, Danny, Lilly, Frankie, Timothy, Jack, Christina, Billy P., Maggie, Kate, Luke, Billy McK., Tommy and Ryan. He will also be remembered by his other family members and friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, March 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at St. Timothy's Parish of Walkersville on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Father Andy Aaron officiating.

Interment will be Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
