Thomas King

Thomas “Tommy” Christopher King, age 20, left us way too soon on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was a beloved son, playful and protective brother, loyal and trusted friend. He was also a graduate of Middletown High School, class of 2016.
Tommy is survived by his father, Harry Leslie King, Jr.; mother, Patricia Buell; stepfather, George Buell; siblings, Madeline, Valerie, and Kelly King, David & Jennifer, Chad, and Alizandra Buell; Grandparents, Tom Rhodes, Marion Beckwith, and Shirley King; and an enormous loving, supportive extended family full of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Harry King, III.
Growing up, Tommy was known as “King of Whoppers” because of the elaborate stories he would tell. He took his food very seriously and loved critiquing each meal. Susie Treats, Mommy’s heavenly sandwiches, Chinese food with Grandpa, blueberry donuts and cinnamon rolls were among his favorites. You knew Tommy had been baking late-night treats when you found a mess in the kitchen the next morning. If we went out to a restaurant, he always enjoyed taking a guess of the total bill.  Tommy loved kitties and all animals.  Each morning, Tommy liked to chase Tucker around the kitchen, laughing and loving his dog, always ending with lots of belly kisses. When not playing with Tucker, or hanging out with his friends, Tommy’s favorite pastime was playing Fallout and Rainbow Six Siege while eating a Domino’s pepperoni and bacon pizza.
Tommy’s friends meant everything to him. He wouldn’t hesitate to drop everything for a friend, but not even they were allowed to touch his fresh collection of sneakers.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will immediately follow at 4:30 pm. Interment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, U.S. 15 North, Frederick, Maryland 21701 following the service.
