Thomas Greene

Mr. Thomas William Greene, 87, of Frederick, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born October 20, 1925 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas William and Laura Cain Greene.
Mr. Greene worked as a mail clerk for the National Conference of Bishops. He enjoyed reading and was an avid sports fan of the Orioles, Redskins, Wizards and Capitals.
He will be remembered as a very caring and gentle person.
Mr. Greene is survived by his sister, Mary Mildred Greene of Frederick; a brother-in-law, Charles R. Frownfelter; nephews, Charles R. Frownfelter, Jr., James B. Frownfelter, and Mark E. Frownfelter and wife, Katherine "Kate"; and a host of great nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
He was predeceased by a sister, Laura M. Greene Frownfelter.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick.
Internment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 7304 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20012-1758.
