Thomas Edward Dorsey, 58 of Frederick, Maryland died Sunday November 10, 2013, after an ongoing battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
He was born on November 30, 1955 in Frederick, Maryland. He was the husband of Caroline V. Dorsey, the son of late Kenneth L. Dorsey, and is survived by mother Lucille V. Dorsey, and mother in law Betty J. Spencer.
He was a 1973 graduate of Linganore High School. He was employed by CSX for thirty five years, where he retired, in 2010.
He is survived by four children Kelly and Jason Keating of Hagerstown, Keith Dorsey, and Andrea Lung-Dorsey of Kennewick, Washington, Thomas M. Dorsey, Kimberly L. Dorsey of Frederick, MD, and nine grandchildren, Tijay Dorsey, Keenan Brown, Jalen, and Amaya Dorsey, Dominick, and Zoey Keating, Elijah Kane, Cheyenne, and Amaya, five brothers, Kenneth Dorsey of Westminster MD., Larry Tyler of Rockville, MD., Curtis Dorsey of Germantown, MD. Alan, and Kevin Dorsey of Frederick, MD., two sisters Barbara Hoy, and Brenda Jones of Frederick, MD.
He was proceeded in death by Brother Dale Dorsey, Grandparents George, Olie Tyler, and father in law Jack Spencer. He leaves behind a host of relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15th at 11:00AM at the Damascus United Methodist Church, 9700 New Church Street, Damascus. The family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time. The Rev. Dr. Samuel Holbrook Smith will officiate services.
Interment will be in Friendship UMC Church Cemetery.
