Mr. Thomas Dixon Lawrence JR., of Boonsboro, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2010.
Born February 23, 1982 in Frederick MD. as the son of Thomas Dixon Lawrence and Mary Coale. He was the beloved and loving husband of Megan A. Lawrence.
He was a loving father of Brandon 10, Breanna 9, Austyn 4 and Cameron 1. He is survived by his step-mother Rose Lawrence, sister Shannon Lawrence, niece Jenny and nephew Jesse. Brothers Ethan, Greg, Alex and Chris. He was the son-in-law of Shelly and Jay McKee of Tennessee and David and Betsy Lingg of Frederick. He is also survived by Brothers-in-law Cody and Dylan McKee of Tennessee and Sisters-in-law Greysen, Parker and Zoey Lingg of Frederick.
He was the Grandson of Louisa Coale of Adamstown. He is also survived by Grandmothers-in-law Nancy Glass of Thurmont and Dawn McKee of Frederick. He also leaves behind to mourn him many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by Paternal Grand parents Frank and Sybil Lawrence, Maternal Grand father Charles Coale and Great, Great Aunt Stewart Harris.
Tommy attended Middletown High School and was currently employed by VTS in Hagerstown, MD. as a Tower Erection Specialist. Tommy will be remembered for his Zest for life and living each day to the fullest. He was a devoted and loving husband, kind, caring father to his children and friend to many. He will also be remembered by his childhood best friend Ben Bidle and family, Joshua Bidle, Shawn Moore and family and many, many more.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Friday September 3, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday September 5, at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 14110 Stottlemyer Road, Smithsburg, MD 21783.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary pall bearers will be Ben Bidle, Joshua Bidle, Owen Garland, Shawn Moore, Tim Ayers, Ethan Lawrence, Greg Pappas, Alex Pappas, Chris Pappas, Bob Miller, Jesse Kenote, Jeremy Cook, Levi Miller and Skip Coale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Susquehanna Bank of Smithsburg, at 22940 Jefferson Blvd., Smithsburg, MD 21783, payable to Megan Lawrence in the memorial fund in the name of Thomas Lawrence JR.
