Thomas Earl Daniel, 75 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Melva (Oelmann) Daniel.

Tom was born in Baltimore, MD to Raymond and Mildred Jackson Daniel. Tom was one of four brothers (Raymond, John & Carroll). He was loved by all and could find a friend in anyone. He believed in sharing his knowledge through "lectures," many of which helped his loved ones through difficult life situations. He was always upbeat and positive, and saw the potential in people. Tom believed in a good education, strong work ethic, and putting family first. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Management from Frostburg University. He was a proud member of Eastern Airlines for over 20 years and, upon leaving Eastern Airlines, Tom opened two successful Meineke Muffler shops. Tom’s strong work ethic would not allow him to stay in retirement so he went back to work where he found a new love in BayRunner Shuttle Service.

Tom will be fondly remembered and profoundly missed by his wife, Melva Daniel; his daughters, Toni Farver of Union Bridge, MD, Ruthanne Romero and husband, Jose, of Westminster, MD; his sons, Ronald Daniel and wife, Samantha, of Frederick, MD, and Craig Daniel and wife, Kelly, of Charles Town, WV; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Daniel; and his son-in-law, Wilbur Farver.

The family will have a celebration of life, in lieu of a formal viewing and funeral service, on Saturday, June 9th. If you would like to attend, please email his son, Craig, at CDan2106@gmail.com for more information. Additionally, his grandson, Tyler, is putting together a picture collage for the celebration. If you have photos of Tom for sharing please email them to TRomero1911@gmail.com.

In lieu of flowers please donate, in Tom’s name, to the Multiple Sclerosis Research Program at the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases, Brigham and Women's Hospital @ (617) 424-4300.
