Mr. Thomas (Tommy) Joseph Blue, 52 of Walkersville, Maryland passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born February 27, 1958 in Pennsylvania he was the son of Thomas and JoAnn (Kowalick) Blue of Ijamsviile.
He was a 1976 graduate of Frederick High School.
Tommy worked at Eastalco Aluminum Company for 30 years and he retired in November 2008.
Tommy loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. But above all, he cherished his family. He will be missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his loving parents he is survived by his four daughters, Sara Stone, Erica Blue and fiancé J.C. Martin all of Hagerstown, Rachael Blue of Thurmont and Emily Blue of Hagerstown, grandchildren, Isabelle Stone, Jayden Martin, Evan Stone and Noah Douglass. Brothers and sisters, Michael Blue and wife Jeanne O’Connell of Frederick, David Blue and wife Toni DiGiacobbe of Pittsburgh, Daniel Blue and wife Michele of Mt. Airy, Maryann Fox and husband Norman of Myersville, Kathleen Blue-Shores and husband Dave of Frederick. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Nicole Martin, and grandparents.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East 2 nd Street in Frederick.
Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations are graciously accepted to the Thomas Joseph Blue Memorial Fund, a Trust to benefit his grandchildren‘s education. Donations may be given at any First United Bank and Trust.
