Theodore {Ted} Rusenko

Mr. Theodore Ted Rusenko, 89, of Frederick died on Monday, October 12, 2009, at the Martinsburg V.A. Center. He was husband of Clara Barbara Grabnegger Rusenko, his wife of 62 years.

Born on March 1, 1920, in Arnold, PA he was the son of the late Steve and Catherine Warholick Rusenko. Ted was an administrative assistant for the Dept. of Commerce working in the U.S. Patten Office. Mr. Rusenko served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and D.A.V. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 children: Lynda C. Furnia and husband Anthony of Hagerstown, Robert M. Rusenko and wife Jan of Myrtle Beach and Geraldine A. Lugmayer of Glen Burnie; 8 grandchildren: Justin and Marie Furnia, Michael and James Rusenko, Heidi, Audrey, Juliann and Abigail Lugmayer.

Mr. Rusenko was preceded in death by a 3 brothers and a sister.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Thursday, October 15, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 AM on Friday, October 16, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St, Frederick with Rev. Richard Murphy as Celebrant.

Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Frederick.
