Theodore G. {Ted} Beddow, Sr.
July 14, 1932 — June 13, 2008
Mr. Theodore G. Ted Beddow, Sr., 75 of Mt. Airy, MD., died Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Joyce Burton Beddow, his wife of 51 years.
Born July 14, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Dr. David W., Sr. and Eva Wyatt Beddow.
Ted was a graduate of Washington College, Chestertown, MD, where he was Captain of the Soccer Team. During the summer he spent 4 summers as a Lifeguard at Cape May, NJ.
He was employed in cancer research at NIH and was also a pacemaker specialist for 25 years at St. Jude Medical. He enjoyed studying the Civil War, antique cars and raising and showing collies with his wife Joyce.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Ted Beddow, Jr. and his wife Kim of Mt. Airy, a son Brian Beddow of Flint, MI and a daughter Tammy Beddow of Miami, FL,, two grandsons Zachary and Taylor Beddow and a granddaughter Jessica Beddow all of Mt. Airy, his brothers David Beddow and wife Thelma and Bruce Beddow and wife Carolyn and several nieces and nephews.

Services: Friends may call Wednesday, June 18, from 2 - 4 p.m.at St. James Episcopal Church, 1307 North Main Street, Mt. Airy, with services to follow at 4:00 p.m.
