Terry Wayne Reed

Terry Wayne Reed, 67, of Ijamsville, Maryland, passed away on May 12, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital.  He was the husband of Joann Leslie Reed.  Born on August 30, 1956, in Rockville, he was the son of Dexter Robert Reed and Jewell (Miller) Reed.

Terry was a 1974 graduate of Richard Montgomery High School and began a career with Verizon as a lineman in 1986 until his retirement in 2018.  He was a sports fan, and loved the Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Nationals.

Mr. Reed belonged to the Communication Workers of America Union #2108.  He had a keen sense of humor, especially with his 'Dad Jokes'.  The proudest title he ever earned was "Pop-Pop", as his grandchildren were the most important thing to him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Laura Teves and husband Brian, and Michael Reed and wife Brittany; 4 grandchildren: Wyatt and Logan Teves and Cooper and Quentin Reed.  He is also survived by his siblings, Joan Follin and husband Robert, Robert D. Reed and wife Marsha and Bruce Reed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 11:00 am, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 502 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
