Terry Jones

Terry E. Jones, 29, of Hagerstown, Maryland, loving son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend to all, passed away on Monday morning, August 4, 2014, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 18, 1985, he is the son of Bruce E. Jones of Hagerstown and Theresa L. Mitchell of Florida.

Terry graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 2003. Upon graduation, he attended James Rumsey Technical Institute in Martinsburg, West Virginia and became a certified auto mechanic.

Most recently, Terry was working as a cell phone tower operator for WesTower Communications.

Terry will forever be remembered as a care-free and free-spirited young man who lived life to the fullest.  His main passion in life was all things related to motocross racing. Terry also enjoyed rafting on the river and other water recreational sports.

In addition to his mother and father, Terry is survived by a brother, Tommy Jones and his girlfriend, Tricia Korrell of Hagerstown; his maternal grandmother, Donna Mitchell; his paternal grandparents, Harry and June Jones of Purcellville, Virginia.  Terry is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Mitchell.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, where a funeral ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Philip Brumback will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
