Terry Ausherman
June 12, 1954 — January 12, 2018
Mr. Terry David Ausherman, 63, of Frederick died Friday, January 12, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Donna (Whipp) Ausherman. They were married nearly 45 years.
Born June 12, 1954 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Gilmore L. Ausherman and Mary Ellen (DeGrange) Ausherman.
Terry was founder of Freestate Auto Repair of Frederick. He was co-owner of the business for many years before selling in 2015 due to his illness.
He lived a very full life and had a great love for his family and friends. He enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles, building street rods, watching football and Nascar racing. Terry enjoyed being a member of the Frederick Elks Lodge and his many Elk friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; son, Jeffrey David Ausherman and wife, Eileen, and their children, Maryanne and Emory; and daughter, Jennifer Lynn Ausherman and her son Sean Adams, Jr; a brother, Wayne Ausherman and wife, Jane; two uncles, Donald Ausherman and wife June, and LuRay Ausherman and wife Francis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Tim May.
Interment will be private.
