Terrence Lynn “Terry” Rohrer, 77, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home in Sharpsburg.
 
Born May 15, 1946, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Chauncey A. Rohrer, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth (Ewing) Rohrer.
 
He was a 1964 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 2004, as a commercial electrician.  He was currently employed part-time at the Battleview Market,  where he was fondly known as "Mr. Terry”. The outpouring of love and messages to him from his customers and Battleview family during his illness have been immeasurable.
 
Terry was a lifetime member of Potomac Valley Fire Company where he served as treasurer for many years.  In 2001, he was awarded Administrative Officer of the Year.  He also served as the LOSAP coordinator.

Terry loved the simple life. He was an avid sports fan who loved to watch the Washington Redskins, Maryland Terrapins and Baltimore Orioles.
 
He is survived by two sisters, Sandra L. Ingram and husband, Everett “Henry”, and Jeanne M. Gray and husband, Ronnie, all of Sharpsburg; two brothers, Chauncey A. Rohrer, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Boonsboro and Forrest D. Rohrer of Cape Coral, Florida; nieces and nephews, Steve, Marsi, Brett, Wendy, Shannon, Crystal, Amanda, Eric and Christopher; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-great-nephews; and a great-great-niece.  
 
He was preceded in death by brother, Blaine E. Rohrer; two half-brothers, Melvin F. Saylor and Ronald W. Saylor; and his great-nephew, Tyler W. Morris.
 
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
 
A celebration of Terry's life will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the funeral home in Boonsboro. Rev. Daniel Fraley will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation.
