Terrace Baker

Mrs. Terrace J. "Terri" Kendle Baker, 80, of Boonsboro died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Gerald Leon "Joe" Baker, who predeceased her on August 26, 2004. They were married for 43 years at the time of his death.

Born January 2, 1941 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin and Imogene (Ford) Kendle.

Terri graduated in 1958 from South Hagerstown High School. From the time she and Joe were married, Terri was a faithful member of Benevola United Methodist Church, where she often sang in the church choir.

Faith and family were her most prized possessions, and she especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family.

Terri retired from Roxbury Correctional Institution near Hagerstown after many years of service as a mailroom clerk.

She is survived by three devoted daughters and their husbands, Laura J. Mills (Jimmy), Patti A. Powers (Murl), and Cathy J. Miller (John); four grandsons, Joey Mills (Shilo), Chris Mills (Brittany), Michael Miller (Sarah), and Josh Miller (Megan); six great-grandchildren, Cole, Aden, Lily, and Ella Mills, Hannah Miller, and Bethany Schleup; a brother, Lynn Kendle (Paula); two sisters, Debbie Banister (Paul) and Ann Bean (Fred); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 23 from Benevola United Methodist Church,  19925 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
