Teresa Welsh

Mrs. Teresa Janet "Jane" Welsh, 81, of Frederick passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013.  She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late James M. Welsh, who preceded her in death in December 2012.   She was raised in Cumberland, Maryland and  graduated from Fort Hill High School. She worked as a teller for Maryland National Bank and Nations Bank in downtown Frederick and on Rosemont Ave.  After retiring she enjoyed RV travel with her husband, and time at home with family and friends. She was a wonderful mother devoting herself to her children and grandchildren always.   She will be missed by her children Matthew Scott Welsh and Jamey Welsh Melcher as well as her grandchildren Jesse Maxwell Welsh, Samuel Anthony Melcher and Ella Jane Melcher.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Jack Crites, and her sister Imogene Fairall, and is survived by nieces and nephews including Teresa Lowdermilk of Cumberland.  The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home,  1621 Opossumtown Pike,  Frederick, Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5:00-7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
