Teresa Niforos

Teresa Jean Niforos, age 55, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Friday, September 21, 2018.  She was born November 21st, 1962, in Southern, MD and was the daughter of Clayton “Bobby” A. Lowry Jr. and Sarah-Jane Lowry Walsh.  Teri graduated from Maurice McDonough High School in 1980.  She was married to Panagiotis “Pete” Niforos on November 21st, 1982.  Teri worked as a data analyst for Comcast and founded Greco Painting Company with her husband Pete, but her true calling was being a dedicated and loving mother to her children Spiros, Valerie, Demi and their many pets.  Teri found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures such as spending time with her family, taking care of her animals, tackling home improvement projects, gardening, and refinishing antique and vintage furniture.  Teri was truly artistically gifted and her legacy will live on through her drawings, paintings, and the various handcrafted items that will be treasured by her family forever.  She is survived by her children Spiros Niforos, Valerie Uecker and her husband, Michael, and Demetria Niforos, as well as her ex-husband Pete Niforos.  She is also survived by her mother, Sarah-Jane Lowry Walsh, sisters Evelyn "Lynn" Juliano and Cassandra "Sandy" Belanger, brothers Brian Lowry, Clayton "Mark" Lowry, and Bobby John Lowry as well as many nieces and nephews.  Family, friends, and others who have had their lives touched by Teri are asked to please join the family at Stauffers Funeral Home, 8 East  Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, MD 21771 on Saturday September 29th, 2018  to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate the life and legacy of such a special woman.  A public viewing will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.  A short funeral service will be held at 2:15 PM.  Appetizers and refreshments will be provided immediately following the funeral ceremony.
