Mrs. Tara L. Sherwin, 42, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014. She was the wife of Richard C. Sherwin, Jr, her husband of 18 years.
Born on July 15th, 1972, in Red Bank, NJ, she was the daughter of Victor S. Vajo of Columbia and the late Karen Mae Kaufmann Vajo. Tara worked in the HR Department of George Washington University as a Junior Client Partner.
She enjoyed playing soccer and watching her children play soccer, photography, scrapbooking, gardening, Christmas baking, and going to the beach with her family. Surviving in addition to her husband and father are three sons Alec, Justin, Jake, and her brother Stephen Vajo of Sykesville.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Friday October 24th at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 25th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 27015 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD, with the Rev. Raymond Scheck, officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carroll County Food Sunday food bank, 10 Distillery Drive, Westminster, MD 21157.
