Tammie Pierce

d. July 19, 2014

Tammie Reynolds Pierce entered into peace on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Frederick, Maryland.

Tammie was born on May 30, 1964, in Decatur, IL to Larry and Sharon Reynolds.  She had one older brother, Brian.   A graduate of Lakeview HS in 1982, she was the Valedictorian and voted most likely to succeed by her peers.
Tammie continued her education and graduated in three years with a degree in Marketing from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

Tammie met the love of her life, Charlie Pierce, in 1990 and she and Charlie were married in Decatur, IL on July 11, 1992.   Charlie, initially, ventured to become a business man but the lure of football was too great to overcome.  When Charlie returned to his beloved coaching, Tammie embraced the role of a “Coach’s Wife” fully.  She loved to be in the stands cheering on Charlie’s team and her whistle and contagious, signature yelping were a staple and loved by all of the parents and fans.  She was the beloved “Queen” and all of the players and parents looked forward to seeing her each week.

Tammie began her very favorite job, as mom, with the birth of her son, Zach, on March 19, 1993.  Zach was followed by Paige on May 26, 1995.  She was so proud of them and loved to talk about Zach’s athletic accomplishments and Paige’s amazing dance talent.   Her children were her pride and joy and her most treasured gifts.

Tammie will leave a hole in the hearts of all that knew her but we will relish in the memory of her friendship, contagious laughter and zest for life.

She leaves behind her husband, Charlie, son, Zach, daughter, Paige, parents Sharon and Larry, brother Brian (Sharon), parents-in-law Sonny and Nell, brothers-in-law Roger (Sheri), John and Mike (Elizabeth) along with nieces and nephews, Brooke, Tara, Nick, Paul, Russ, Sean and Megan.

A celebration of Tammie's life will be held on Sunday, July 27th at 4:00pm at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Virginia.

“Hey, I was Valedictorian and voted Most Likely to Succeed. I have succeeded in the most important part of life. I have a wonderful, gorgeous, loving family and enough money to pay the bills. Success is not about money!! Success is about LIFE”
