Sylvia Poffenberger

Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Chlemi (Poffenberger) Hutzel.

She was a wonderful homemaker and a very loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence O. Poffenberger, her sister, Mary Alexander and a granddaughter, Sharon Albert and her husband Wayne Albert.

She was a member of the Boonsboro Bible Church and a member of the Boonsboro Senior Citizens Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret V. Miller residing at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro and Janice L. Tritapoe of Keedysville, Maryland; six grandchildren, Larry Miller and his wife Carol Miller of Hagerstown, Arvin Tritapoe and his wife Linda Tritapoe of Hagerstown, Karen Harne and her husband

Jack Harne of Keedysville, Gary Miller and his wife Debbie Miller of Boonsboro, Darrin Miller of Hagerstown, and Donna Caldwell and her husband Danny Caldwell of Hagerstown; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  The Rev. Robert D. Welty will officiate. Burial will be in the Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m.
