Sylvia Kretzer

Sylvia Ann Kretzer, infant daughter of Joshua and Jessi (Hammersla) Kretzer, left this life to join her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the family home in Sharpsburg, Maryland.

Born on November 15, 2012, in Washington, DC, Sylvia is survived by her maternal grandparents, Donnie and Sherry Hammersla and her paternal grandparents, Michael and Barbara Kretzer, all of Sharpsburg; her maternal great grandfather, Joe Goetz, of Dargan; her paternal great grandmother, Missy Kretzer of Sharpsburg; and her aunts and uncles, Erin and Travis Harrell of Sharpsburg, Eric and Katy Toy of North Carolina, and Ryan and Cristine Kretzer of Arizona. She will also be missed by her five cousins, Emma, Ellie and Tanner Harrell, and Chiara and Sora Kretzer.

Jessi and Joshua extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who have offered their love, support and prayers. They share comfort with all in the Bible scripture Luke 1:37: "for with God nothing shall be impossible."

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Sample's Manor Church of God, 2128 Harpers Ferry Road, in Sharpsburg. Rev. Kenneth W. Johnson will officiate. Immediately following the ceremony, Sylvia will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
