Mrs. Susan Marie Rice, 63, of Frederick, died on Saturday December 19, 2009 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy.
Born on September 13, 1946 in Washington D. C. She was the daughter of the late William and Joan Abbott.
She was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Walkersville.
Surviving are three sons Michael Rice and wife Rebecca of Frederick, Paul Rice and wife Danielle of Derwood and Joseph Rice and wife Kimberly of Martinsburg, WV. Grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Alexander, Nicholas, Caleb Rice and Brittany Greenfield. Seven brothers and sisters William Abbott, Joanie Berg, Jimmy Abbott, Michael Abbott, Elizabeth Prentice, Tony Abbott and Ellen Thurman. She was preceded in death a sister Christine Rebel.
Visitation: Friends may call on Tuesday December 22, from 6-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 23, 11:00am at the St. Timothy's Catholic Church,8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD 21793. Interment will be held at 2:00pm in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Washington D. C.
