Susan Jean Watt Mason, 50, of Mt. Airy died on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 3, 1957 in Frederick she was the daughter of John Bernard and Nancy Lee Gesell Watt. She was a 1975 graduate of South Carroll High School where she played in the band. Susan had worked as a waitress at the former Pizza Oven Inn in Mt. Airy, the MVA for 15 years, bookkeeper and data entry for Garrett Enterprises, Inc for 7 years and was currently a waitress at Barbara Fritchie Candy Stick Restaurant in Frederick for 15 years. She was a member of Tri State Baptist Church in Charles Town, WV.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Mason and special friend Joseph Cooper of Hagerstown and Nicole Mason of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren, Austin Goucher, Dylan Cooper and Paige Goucher; four brothers, Jerry Watt and wife Barb of Middleburg, Dean Watt and wife Joy of Westminster, Craig Watt of Frederick and Bruce Watt of Mt. Airy; and a sister, Patricia Watt of Frederick, as well as two nieces and four nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy.
Services: Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy with her pastor Rev. Ray T. Love officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carroll County Therapeutic Riding, 1250 Hughes Shop Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.
