Susan M Kelley

Susan Kelley, 67, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was the loving wife of her departed husband, Keith Kelley, for forty-three years.

Born on September 19, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael V. Eaton and Miriam (Rose) Eaton.
Susan was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School. Following graduation, she had a 39-year career with Verizon (starting with C&P Telephone Company then Bell Atlantic) and retired from there. As a retiree, she worked part-time at her local Weis.  

 
Susan enjoyed life and would find every opportunity to laugh and joke in it. She loved music, singing along whenever she could. She loved being outside in the sun, listening to the birds, and enjoying nature. Most importantly, she loved her time with her family, especially her Kylee girl. 

Susan found the good in everyone, and often put others' needs before her own. During the last few years especially, she showed her true strength, determination, and optimism to others. Strong is a word one thinks of when speaking of her, yet she was too humble to realize it herself. 

She is survived by her children, daughter Crystal Brady (Michael Brady), son Christopher Kelley, and granddaughter Kylee Brady, as well as her siblings, Michele Eaton, Roberta Eggleston, and John Eaton. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Christine Croft, and brother, Mark Eaton. 
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Susan's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the funeral home.  Rev. Tim May will officiate.  Burial will follow services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
