Sue Ann Kubat

March 6, 1946 — January 15, 2023

Knoxville

Sue Ann Kubat, 76, passed from this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023.  She was with her family at her home in the Brunswick area.  She was born on March 6, 1946 to the late Raymond Reynolds and Theresa Phillips Reynolds.  She was the beloved wife of William Kubat for 53 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving son, Mark Clinton Kubat of Brunswick, MD and granddaughters Phoebe and Oona.  Also surviving are two brothers Raymond Reynolds and wife, Patty, of Alabama and Jerry Michael Reynolds of Frederick, MD.

Sue graduated from Brunswick High School in 1964.  She was an outstanding business student and enjoyed girls’ sports and other extracurricular activities of the school.  She went to work immediately after graduation for the Atomic Energy Commission in Germantown, MD. For ten years.  After the birth of her son, she did what she loved best: taking care of her family and becoming a good friend to all the people she met.  She later became Office Manager at The Dandelion Christian Daycare near her home for 15 years.

Sue and her husband, Bill, enjoyed spending each day together.  They enjoyed being with relatives and friends as often as possible.  Sue loved having the many family birthday parties at her home and made everyone welcome.  She especially liked the trips to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Williamsburg, Virginia with her husband.

In her retirement years, the light of her life was her grandchildren.  Their “Neena” was their best listener and true confidant and was always available to talk with them about school and their activities.  She spent her time with them doing whatever they wanted to do.  They knew she was always available and would be an active participant.

Aunt Sue will be missed by all her loving nieces and nephews and families whom she held so close in her heart.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick, with a memorial service to begin at 11 a.m.
