Steven V. Stone

Mr. Steven V. Stone, Sr., 51, of Jefferson, died on Friday January 15, 2010 at his home of cancer. He was the husband of Kathy M. Stone.
Born on December 14, 1958 in Frederick he was the son of Betty Mae Young Crown and husband, Dennis of Urbana and Maurice H. Stone and wife, Linda L. of Hagerstown.
Steve attended both Frederick and T. J. High Schools were he was known for his baseball and softball playing. He was a master bowler, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors and nature. Often referred to as teddy bear, he was a loving and caring person with a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are three children; Steven V. Stone, Jr., of Frederick, Angela R. Stone of Frederick and Brandy L. Stone of Jefferson, Grandson Michael Godwin III, Sisters Jennifer Stone, Sharon L. Stone and Christy L. Trala and husband, George Buddy. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday January 19, at the Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church, Frederick, MD, 21702. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
