Mr. Sterling H. “Kelly” Kelbaugh, 77 of Thurmont, Maryland passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014. He was the husband of Juanita “Skeeter” Istre Kelbaugh, his beloved wife of 51 years.
Mr. Kelbaugh was a fourth generation resident of the Thurmont area, he was the son of the late Lee J. and Virginia Knell Kelbaugh.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Rule Kelbaugh and wife Peggy and Keeffer Kelbaugh and wife Claire, five grandchildren, Anna, Erin, Kristen, Andrus and Keeffer J., a brother, Gilbert Kelbaugh and wife LaRue and a sister in law, Jean Kelbaugh.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jennings Kelbaugh.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main Street Thurmont on Wednesday, March 5th from 6:00-9:00PM.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 6th at 10:00AM at Catoctin Episcopal Parish-Harriet Chapel, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont with Rev. Sally Joyner –Giffin officiating.
Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be sent to the Catoctin Episcopal Parish-Harriet Chapel, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
