Stephen Wisner

Mr. Stephen Alan Wisner, 30 of Frederick, Maryland died suddenly on Saturday, November 19, 2011. He was the husband of Jennifer E. Wisner.

Born June 22, 1981 in Frederick he was the son of Stephen J. and Connie V. Wisner of Frederick.

He attended Gov. Thomas Johnson High School and he was a member of The Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Feagaville. He was employed with Rew Materials, Inc.

He loved to hunt and fish and he was an avid Ravens fan. He also loved spending time with his wife and children whom he was extremely proud of and adored.

Everyone that knew Stephen loved him. He had a unique loving spirit and he would try to help anyone in need. He would always try to brighten anyone’s day with a joke or a funny prank.

In addition to his loving wife and parents he is survived by his son, Jacob A. Wisner and a step-daughter, Emma G. Mathews, his brother, Robert W. Wisner and wife Sara of Adamstown, niece and nephew, Serena and Ethan Wisner who lovingly knew him as “Uncle Buck”, maternal grandmother, Helen V. Myers, paternal grandmother, Yvonne May and paternal grandfather, John E. Wisner Sr., father and mother-in-law, Jesse and Linda Mathews, sister-in-law, Belinda Campbell and husband Jon, brother-in-law Jason Mathews.

He will also be remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many devoted friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Roberts W. Myers Jr., and an aunt, Kathy J. Kennomon.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 26 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Gill and Rev. Tim May officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Feagaville.

Pallbearers will be Duane Myers, Charles Norwood, Jon Campbell, Jason Mathews, Jeff Clegg, Jason Myers and Shawn Baker.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen A Wisner Memorial Fund, M&T Bank, 91 Routzahn’s Way, Frederick, MD 21701.

The family requests a “casual” dress code while attending these services. In Stephen’s honor the family also requests that funeral attendee’s wear “Raven’s” clothing or colors, to help celebrate his life.
