Stephen Francis Sunday, 72, passed away at his home in Frederick, Maryland, on December 10, 2019. He was born on November 1, 1947. He was the son of the late Lewis Sunday and surviving mother, Margaret Stup Sunday.
Steve graduated from Walkersville High School, class of 1965. He was employed by State Farm Insurance for 41 years, retiring in 2006. Steve enjoyed traveling to Florida and the islands and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul's Luthern Church for many years.
Steve is survived by two daughters, Wendy Sue Marsh (Robert) of Jensen Beach, Florida and Janet Kwiatkowski (Jason) of Edgewater, Maryland. He was the loving grandfather of John and Kate Marsh. He is also survived by his two brothers, Kenneth (Terry) of Leesburg, Virginia, and Douglas (Jennifer) in Frederick, Maryland. He was a dear Uncle to Jennifer, Corey, Kevin, and Ashlee.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, December 20th, at 11:00am at Faith United Church of Christ, 9333 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Refreshments will be offered after the memorial in the Fellowship Hall adjacent to the church.
