Stephen Beaton Sr.

Mr. Stephen Patrick Beaton Sr., 61, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Frederick, died on Monday January 23, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center, Virginia. He was the husband of Sandra Kay Beaton.
Born on December 19, 1950 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late John L. and Edna Lane Beaton.
Stephen had worked as an insurance specialist for many years for Life of Virginia, Allstate, Mamsi, United Health Care, Schaller Anderson and lastly Aetna Health. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.
He was an avid outdoorsman spending time hunting and fishing; he lived his life to the fullest and loved the time he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Stephen P. Beaton Jr. and wife Elizabeth A. of Smithsburg, Timothy L. Beaton Sr. and wife Stacey M. of Walkersville, Melanie D. (Beaton) Harshman and husband Gaylen P. of Walkersville, Jason M. Beaton and girlfriend Jennifer L. Clark of Frederick, Christopher S. Beaton and wife Leslie S. of Inwood, WV, Joshua W. Beaton and wife Kayra E. of Elkridge, Stephanie (Kasey) Mathews and husband John P. of Waldorf and David (DJ) Cameron of Frederick. He was the grandfather of twenty two, also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Kimberly Rice Lally. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maryjo Cameron and a brother, John L. Beaton.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Homes P. A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday January 28, 2012 at the St. Peters Catholic Church, 9190 Church Street, Libertytown, MD. Father Jason Worley will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Libertytown. Pallbearers will be Stephen’s sons.
