Stella L. Coates

Louise (Stella) Coates, 81, of Lovettsville, Virginia, passed from this life on Sunday, July 23, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Andrew Coates. 
Born on September 6, 1941, in VA, she was the daughter of the late Grayson and Anna May (Crouse) Reed. 
 Louise was a family woman devoted her life to her seven children, nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.   She loved to have Thursday suppers and Sunday Family dinners.   In addition, to cooking Louise loved to dance and listen to music. No one ever left her house hungry.  Louise's greatest joy was her family.   

Louise was predeceased by her three sons: Andrew Coates Jr., Danny Coates and Michael Coates, Grandson Chris Coates, and her sister Mary Demory.  She is survived by her children; Debra Coates, Kathy Stonesifer (Mark), Theresa Everhart and Leslie Loy (Bruce), her very special nephew Ricky Cunningham who was like a 4th son to her, her Sister Patsy Frye (Junior), Grand Children Candi Dixon (Ray), Andy Stonesifer (Carrie), Kyle Stonesifer, Brittany Smith (Chan), Tracey Coates, Kim Gageby (RD), Drew Everhart (Michelle Smith)  and Amanda Everhart.
 The family will receive friends from 11-12 pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD where a celebration of Stella's life journey will take place at 12 pm.  Interment will be at Lovettsville Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, VA.
