Ms. Stacey LaVeria Bowie, 43 of Frederick, MD., departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2009, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
Born September 13, 1965 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Donald L. and Vivian Ann Brown Bowie.
Stacey graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1983. She was a life long member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Frederick.
Upon entering into the working world, she started at Homewood Retirement Center, and then moved onto Forms Direct, Inc. until the establishment closed. She was employed with Image Direct at the time of her illness.
She was a devoted and loving Mother and Daughter who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved listening to music and dancing and lived her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughters Shayla and Shanese Ambush of Frederick; a loving and devoted fiance Joseph Campbell, Jr. of Frederick; five brothers, Dwight Bowie of Frederick Donald Bowie of Virginia, Richard Bowie and wife Victoria (Cosley), Jerome Bowie and wife Tracy (Brightful) and E. Darnell Bowie and one sister TeKeisha Gibson all of Frederick. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Services: Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 22 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, All-Saints and Court Street, Frederick from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a contribution to the Education Fund for her daughter Shanese Martase Ambush, c/o BB&T Bank, Rosemont Avenue Branch, Frederick, MD, 21702.
