Stacey Alexander Godlove, 40, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed into our Lord’s eternal arms on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. She was the wife of Robert “Bob” Godlove.
Born March 14, 1973 in Silver Spring, Md., she was the daughter of Gayle and the late Wayne Alexander.
In addition to her husband and mother, Stacey was the loving mother of two children; Blake Alexander and Madeline Elizabeth, her sister Tammy Alexander (Michael) Thorpe of Smithsburg and nephew Shane Patrick Yerka. She is also survived by in-laws Rudy and Donna Godlove, and brother-in-law William (Cari) Godlove of Cresaptown, Md.
Stacey was a 1994 graduate of Goucher College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology and was currently employed as Vice President, of Chevo Consulting, LLC. She was Project Management Institute certified and an industry recognized expert in Portfolio Management and Capital Planning.
Visitation will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street Thurmont, Md. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Anthony’s Shrine Parish, Emmitsburg, Md., on September 19, 2013, at 10:00 am, by the Rev. Lawrence Swink.
Interment will be private.
For those desiring to send flowers, outdoor plants would be appreciated for a Memorial Garden for Stacey.
A Scholarship Fund has been set up by Stacey’s friends, Kim, Heather, Claire, and Stephanie. Donations can be made at any PNC bank by stating you wish to make a contribution to the “Scholarship Fund for the Godlove Children.”
