Sonja Skuhr
January 12, 1940 — July 16, 2015
Mrs. Sonja L. Skuhr, 75 of Mt. Airy, Maryland, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Carroll County General Hospital. She was the wife of Charles F. Skuhr her husband of 59 years.
Born January 12, 1940 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Erman and Charlotte Kauffman Wardenfelt.
Mrs. Skuhr was a member of Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church. In earlier years she was a hairdresser and also manager of a large restaurant in Arlington,VA. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking fishing and boating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Kelly Gable and husband Clinton and two grandchildren Darren and Sharri Gable all of Mt. Airy.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Wednesday, July 22, from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm, where services will be held Thursday, July 23, at 11:00 am with Pastor Thomas Gue officiating.
Interment Glade Cemetery.
