Sonja B. Clabaugh, 76, of Chambersburg, PA, died Friday, September 22, 2017. She was the wife of the late Loraine M. Clabaugh, whom she was married to for 50 years.
Born January 3, 1941 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Hildebrick) and Kermit Reid.
Sonja is survived by four children, Debbie Reckley and husband, Dave, of Thurmont; Linda Cooper and husband, Michael, of Aspers, PA; Charles Clabaugh and wife, Cristy, of Bonneville, PA; and Karen Thurley of Winchester, VA; and two sisters, Nancy Mueller of Spring Grove, PA, and twin sister, Sandy Mc Cleaf, of Gettysburg, PA. Also surviving are many grandchildren, Randy Brent Jr., Jessica Barrett, Jason Cooper, Jennifer Eley, Bradley Hayes, Danielle Martin, Isaiah Thurley, Ashley Clabaugh, Charles Clabaugh Jr., Taylor Renner, Austin Renner, Kyle Clabaugh, Wyatt Clabaugh, Charlene Nash, Stacey Newton, Lisa Carwell, and Kristine Clabaugh; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Rick Clabaugh; a brother, Kermit Reid; a sister, Joyce West; a grandson, Erik Hayes; and three granddaughters, Georgia Clabaugh, Olivia Clabaugh, and Brook Leland.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 from Morningstar Family Church, 14698 Albert Staub Rd., Thurmont. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Sheaffer.
