Mr. Simon M. Stull, Sr., 88, of Frederick, MD., passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was the husband of Margaret Woolever Stull.
Born October 28,1923 in Frederick, MD., he was the son of the late Ira and Mattie Martz Stull.
Mr. Stull was a member of Emmanuel Bible Church. Throughout his life he was a farmer, welder, and a mechanic. He ended his working career as joint owner, with his wife, of Stull’s House of Interior Design, where he helped with the bookkeeping, upholstery and installation of draperies. He was a wonderful father and husband and was kind to all that knew him. Simon not only raised his own children but others that crossed his doorstep that needed nurturing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by ten children Simon Stull, Jr and wife Edith of Denver, PA, David Stull and wife Jackie of Peck, MI, James Stull and wife Sue of Keymar, Bill Stull of Myersville, Tim Stull and wife Elizabeth of Frederick, Robby Stull of Derry, PA, Rick Stull and wife May of Fannettsburg, PA, Mary Margaret Hollis and husband Bill of Etters,PA, Melissa King and husband Jeff of Spring City, PA and Jenny King and husband Jay of Pottstown, PA, twenty seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a brother Allen Stull of AZ. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul Stull and a sister Carrie Mahoney.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Tuesday, September 6, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, at 1:00 p.m. from the Emmanuel Bible Church, 7818 Baltimore National Pike, Frederick (formerly Dan Dee Restaurant), with Pastor Sam Martz officiating.
