Silas Seemore "Buddy" Griffith, age 76, of 8412-B Reno Monument Road, Middletown, MD, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at Chambersburg, PA, Hospital.


Born June 30, 1931 in Porterstown, MD, he was a son of the late James Leo and Anna Mae Springer Griffith.




Buddy had retired in 2000 from Frederick Trading Co. with 38 years service.


He was a member of Boonsboro Family Worship Center for over 50 years where he was an usher and a former trustee.


Buddy was a blood donor with the American Red Cross.




He is survived by his wife, June Irene Toms Griffith, whom he married June 30, 1954; two daughters, Linda S. Mann and husband Stanley of Boonsboro, and Jennifer I. Stultz and husband Marvin of Keedysville; five grandchildren, Jason Mann and wife Annette, Jeremy Mann, Jordan Mann, Isaiah Stultz and Hope Stultz; four sisters, Margaret Martz and Elsie Flook and husband Clarence, all of Hagerstown, Della Long of Keedysville and Helen Easterday and husband Richard of Boonsboro, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Guessford, Mary Powell, Pauline Eckerd, and Nellie Griffith, and three brothers, Albert Griffith, Elmer Griffith and Howard Griffith.




Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday at Boonsboro Family Worship Center. The Rev. Jack Payne will officiate. Burial will be in the Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
